New album available May 10, 2011!
In follow up to her acclaimed debut album, Katie is set to release her newest project, “Valley Between Love” on May 10. The album, featuring 14 tracks written, or co-written by Katie, was co-produced with veteran Nashville producer Chip Hardy (George Strait, Reba McEntire, Waylon Jennings).

So what will you be hearing on Valley Between Love, you ask?
Well, this alternative country/pop album, containing 14 of my new original songs, features hand clapping, a string quartet, bongos, banjos, and a few other surprises. Each song stands alone as its own unique masterpiece, yet without one, VBL would not be complete. It turned out to be somewhat of a lyrically thematic project even though it was never intended that way. I guess that’s what happens when you write 14 songs about your life over a period of one year’s time. With that said, you will definitely get a first hand glimpse into my world. I spent countless hours and many sleepless nights working on pre-production for this project, so what you hear is the direct result of the original visions for these songs. I was accompanied in the studio by veteran Music Row producer, Chip Hardy, who was there to help bring my vision to life. He brought much insight to the project as his years of working with such big names as George Strait, Reba McIntire, Waylon Jennings, and many more, have given him quite the impressive resume. Even with all of his expertise, Chip put me in the driver’s seat and made sure that each song came out exactly as I envisioned it. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better co-producer to work with. — Katie
